Canada Jetlines announced its intention to offer direct low-cost flights from Montreal Saint-Hubert Airport to several Canadian and American cities. The flights would be welcoming passengers as soon as next year. Tourists would now be able to access low-cost direct flights from Longueuil instead of having to get, by car, to American airports like Plattsburgh and Burlington. Jetlines chose Montreal Saint-Hubert Airport because it recently upgraded its runway and because it has plans to build a new passenger terminal building.
