Residential sales and net internal migration jump in 2018

Residential sales and net internal migration have increased in 2018 in Longueuil. Houses and condos sales were up by 10% across the board, and the net internal migration has risen by 0.7% compared to 2017. This is translated to 280 new residents in Longueuil for 2018, as shown in the Institut de la statistique du Québec’s (ISQ) study. The latest numbers released par the Québec Federation of Real Estate Boards (QFREB) show that sales increased by 11% in the Vieux-Longueuil borough, 15% in the Saint-Hubert borough and 11% in the Saint-Lambert borough. The average selling price has risen in 2018, in part because of a strong decline of the number of houses and condos available on the market.
