LONGUEUIL: 60 M$ pour un nouveau bureau de projet pour le développement du transport en commun

Novembrer 24, 2019

The Transports ministry is investing 60 M$ to create a new projects bureau that will be in charge of finding ways to develop public transit options on the South Shore. This bureau, which will be led by the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), will be tasked with studying structuring implantation projects in axis with either the Longueuil metro station, the south end of the yellow line, or the Taschereau Boulevard. The ministry believe that the arrival of the bureau will improve the coordination and will help put in place a regional outlook of public transit. The project’s governance will be assumed by the City of Longueuil, the ARTM, and the bureau itself will be the responsibility of the RTL, which will be asked to work with all the local partners.
