Longueuil has just concluded the bill of sale for land owned by the Marie-Victorin school board that will allow it to build a new elementary school in the Vert Urbain neighborhood. The school will host walkers and will promote active transportation in a secure environment in a sector in full growth. The Marie-Victorin school board will now be able to start the next steps towards building the school. The goal of Longueuil’s administration is to develop the hole neighborhood to maximise active transportation and a healthy living environment. Streets, bike lanes, pedestrian pathways and new parks are all planned in the development project.
