The value of building permits has risen by 19.8% in Longueuil last year. Numbers published by the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) shows that the value has reached $1.33 M in 2018, more than double what it was four years ago. Residential construction was the more active sector with $912 371 in permits, followed by the commercial ($247 185), industrial ($88 285) and institutional ($84 793) sectors. No other MRC in the Montérégie even reached $400 000 in building permits value last year.
