Permit applications

The Direction de l'aménagement et de l'urbanisme issues subdivision, construction and renovation permits, as well as certificates for activities that require authorization in accordance with the by-laws in effect in Ville de Longueuil. (in French)

By-laws and zoning

Urban planning by-laws make it possible to divide Longueuil’s territory into specific zones in order to regulate the use of buildings and establish standards and evaluation criteria. These by-laws are important tools in the implementation of the municipality’s local planning initiatives, as provided for in the Plan d’urbanisme, which itself is in compliance with the regional plan set out in the Schéma d’aménagement et de développement de l’agglomération de Longueuil.

Land use

The Schéma d’aménagement et de développement de l’agglomération de Longueuil contains, among other items, development guidelines, land use plans and a complementary document specifying the minimum regulatory provisions to be incorporated into the urban planning by-laws of the Agglomération’s municipalities.

Urban planning

The urban plan sets out the municipal guidelines on urban planning, urban development and land use planning. It is the principal guide on land use and development at the local level. It is part of the Schéma d'aménagement et de développement (SAD) of the Agglomération de Longueuil and complies with the Vision stratégique du plan d'urbanisme – Longueuil 2035.

The Programme particulier d’urbanisme du pôle Roland-Therrien

As an integral part of the Ville de Longueuil’s urban planning program, of which it is Appendix D, the Programme particulier d'urbanisme for the Roland-Therrien hub is the key planning document that outlines the vision for the future of this sector. Its purpose is to identify, guide and harmonize future public and private developments.
