Longueuil ranked second in all the Montérégie’s cities for the number of housing starts in the first semester of 2019. The Association provinciale des constructeurs d’habitations du Québec (APCHQ) counted 662 housing starts in Longueuil, 11,7% of the 5662 in all the Montérégie. The region was the busiest region in the province between January and June.
